Well my two cents, Southwest handled it poorly to say the least.
He was already on board seated and buckled in with the armrests down, he had already been recognized by the other passengers, so why would SW engage in this PR nightmare? Granted "lunchbox" is kinda hefty and he admitted that he usually by two seats, but the airline is at fault here.

Agreed, Sarge, this was a mess up of epic proportions on SW's part. Still, I'm kinda glad that they did mess up in this particular way, which is to say throwing off someone who is very willing and able to make a fuss, with a large audience to listen to. If it weren't Kevin Smith, it would just be 'another fat ass got thrown off the plane'. It's a little annoying that he ended up going for the "I'm fat but not that fat" line, because it implies that people who are "that fat" are perfectly fine to discriminate against, but it's a start.
Of course, since air travel has become the most common method of major travel in our train-less States, it really is discrimination -- but I'll not open that can of worms.

The boys all got tickets to see Jay and Silent Bob Get Old when it comes Down Under. I will be working, so I wont be going and am filled with a certain level of rage about this. Has anyone seen the show elsewhere?

Seen 'Red State' and one of his newest stand-up/question night dvds on offer in the store. Either worth watching? Heard woeful things concerning the horror flick.
